About Us

Who Are We?

The FGCU Student Investment Group (SIG) is a student-run organization dedicated to developing future leaders in finance through hands-on investment research and professional training. We provide members with real-world experience, technical skills, and networking opportunities to prepare them for careers in investment banking, private equity, asset management, and beyond.

What We Do

As SIG members, students get to work on analyzing and pitching real companies to Wall Street pros. The club works together to select the best investment ideas and manage a fundamental value-based equity portfolio. New analysts enter a 10-week program to help them get familiar with investing fundamentals and broader technical finance concepts.

Our Core Values

We are committed to maintaining an environment of continuous learning. We believe that through hands-on learning, visual applications, and collaborative work, students can receive insights into the complex world of investments and finance. Innate curiosity, a strong intuition, and possession of a strong work ethic are among the qualities we value the most.

Admissions Process

Entry into the club is selective. Every semester, the Executive Board selects a new analyst class after a round of interviews. Some of the most important qualities a prospective analyst can have include intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, the ability to manage time well, and a strong work ethic.
